Experience
Professional commercial experience in both the UK and Poland. Involved in the planning and realisation of strategy in the selling of business services and consumer products in retail and engineering sectors.
2005-2021 - Academic teaching in the field of English Philology, subjects including phonetics, descriptive grammar, writing, culture and conversation.
Since 2001- EFL teaching in commercial language schools in the private, business and corporate sectors.
Research Interests
Theoretical investigation into the common roots of European languages through the study of cognates, phonotactic structures and phonetic properties. The Research utilises a comparative approach requiring a synchronic and diachronic examination of languages to highlight change.
Related interests include derivational morphology and generative grammar theory.
Direction of Teaching Activities
Academic teaching, conducting lectures and practical exercises in the application of linguistics through conversation and writing. Lectures are generally concerned with corpus, lexis, normative language study and discourse. This practical learning of English is centred around specialised business and economic language in fields such as the economy, business theory and commercial reality.
