Seria naukowa „Olsztyńskie Studia Afrykanistyczne”

Wymagania formalne dla autorów

Aby artykuł mógł zostać przyjęty do druku, musi spełniać poniższe następujące kryteria:

Musi być wynikiem samodzielnych badań, niepublikowanych wcześniej w innych czasopismach lub pracach zbiorowych.
Musi być zgodny z tematyką czasopisma.
Musi otrzymać pozytywną recenzję.
Musi spełniać kryteria formalne i uwzględniać wskazówki redakcyjne.

Struktura artykułu

Imię i nazwisko Autora/Autorki/Autorów (u góry po lewej stronie), ośrodek akademicki. Jeśli Autorem/Autorką jest osoba niepracująca na uczelni, należy podać miejscowość (pod nazwiskiem). Wszystkie te informacje zamieszcza się na oddzielnej stronie, ponieważ artykuły anonimowo zostaną wysłane do recenzji.
Tytuł artykułu
Słowa kluczowe (do 10)
Zarys treści: pod tytułem po słowach „Zarys treści”, objętość 400–700 znaków (od 4 do 7 linijek tekstu). W tym miejscu chodzi o skrótowe przedstawienie badanej problematyki i krótką charakterystykę zawartości artykułu.
Treść artykułu
Bibliografia (w kolejności alfabetycznej)
Tytuł w języku angielskim, pod tytułem słowo „Summary”
Treść streszczenia w języku angielskim (1000‒1800 znaków, maksymalnie jedna strona A4). W tej części nie należy ograniczać się do omówienia treści. Trzeba przedstawić krótko zarówno rezultat przeprowadzonej analizy, jak i główne konkluzje z niej płynące oraz omówić zastosowaną metodologię.
Do artykułu należy dołączyć na oddzielnej stronie krótką notę o Autorze/Autorce/Autorach w języku polskim i angielskim.

Objętość standardowego artykułu powinna wahać się w przedziale 22 000–40 000 znaków (od 8 do 22 stron, odstęp 1,5). Objętość dotyczy całego artykułu, także wszystkich wymienionych wyżej elementów. W przypadku dłuższych artykułów i rozpraw prosimy o kontakt z redakcją.

Pozostałe informacje redakcyjne

Teksty powinny być przygotowane za pomocą edytora, pracującego w środowisku Windows lub Linux (zalecany MS Word od wersji 97 lub edytory OpenOffice), czcionka 12 p, odstęp 1,5.
Prosimy o przesłanie wydruku artykułu na adres redakcji, a wersji elektronicznej w formie załącznika drogą mailową (Redakcja nie wymaga przesłania artykułu na nośnikach elektronicznych).
Literaturę wykorzystaną, cytowaną w artykule należy zapisać w tekście skróconym systemem bibliograficznym [Gillies 2001 18] [Pieńkos 2003 129], po zdaniu (akapicie), do którego się odnoszą. W przypadku podjęcia polemiki, dodatkowego wywodu, zamieszczania dodatkowych komentarzy, dopuszcza się stosowanie numerowanych przypisów u dołu strony.
W wykazie bibliograficznym kolejne pozycje wymienia się w porządku alfabetycznym. Tytuły prac zbiorowych należy zapisać kursywą. W takim przypadku należy pamiętać o podaniu stron, by tekst można było dokładnie zlokalizować.

Guidelines for authors of texts submitted for printing in the Scientific series: “Olsztyn African Studies”

Articles submitted to the Journal “Olsztyn Africanistic Studies” should be original contributions and should not be under consideration by another publication at the same time.
Texts to the journal should be submitted in printed and electronic versions, as MS Word and by email.

The structure of the article

Authors should indicate their full name, address (including email contact), their academic status and their current institutional affiliation. This should appear on a separate covering page since texts will be sent out anonymously to outside readers. Articles will not be returned to the authors.

An abstract of 150 to 200 words stating the main research problem, major findings and conclusions

Literature (in alphabetical order)
Title in English under the title the word “summary”
Short summary in English or French (1000-1800 characters, maximum one page A 4) In this section, you should not be limited to discussion of content. It should also briefly present results of the analysis and the main conclusions derived from it and discuss the methodology applied.
The article should include a brief note about the author in English or French on a separate page.
The body of the text should be in Times New Roman, 12 pt. font, with 1.5 line spacing.
The Harvard Reference System is strongly recommended. The system requires you to cite the author's surname, the year of publication, and the page reference immediately, e.g.: “Alongside this normative perspective that emphasizes the centrality of the West in the formation of modernity, there are alternative approaches to modernity” [Kane 2003 5]. Separate publications by different authors by semicolons [Amin 2002; Diaw 1994] and the same author’s by a comma [Mkandawire 1999, 2002].

In the case of a polemic, an additional argument, to provide additional comments, they may use numbered footnotes at the bottom of the page.

With this system it is essential that the bibliography or references list every work cited by you in the text. Where there are two or more works by one author in the same year, distinguish them as by use of letters of the alphabet e.g. [Olukoshi 1998a, 1998b, etc.]. Type the bibliography or reference list in the order: author, initials, date, title, place of publication, publisher
The list of bibliographic more items are listed in alphabetical order. Titles in italics write volumes. When quoting text from magazines or from the collective title of the volume of work is in italics, the article title in quotation marks. In this case, be sure to include parties to the article it can accurately locate.
